Who are you?
As an artist, and a person, I don't like to be put in a box. Growing up, I was kind of an outcast and I had trouble fitting in because I have always been this eccentric, quirky kid and I feel like that eccentricity definitely trickled into my artistry. I've always had an experimental taste in music and I like to express that through my style and my character as well. My earliest inspirations for rap were Outkast, Kanye West, and Nicki Minaj while my more recent inspirations have been artists like Isaiah Rashad, Smino, and Azealia Banks so I've always loved music and artists that pushed the boundary. I make it a point in my artistry to always try new sounds and approaches. One day I'll be skating on a house/techno track and then the next I might be flowing on an old school/boom-bap type beat. I'm extremely progressive when it comes to my sound so don't ever expect one thing from me. I'm always going to leave you guessing.
Where are you from?
I was born in Irving, Texas but I grew up around Houston and am still currently based there. The music scene out here is very rooted in that classic, southern hip hop sound that we all grew up loving. Mike Jones, Z-Ro, Pimp-C, etc. were some of the first artists I remember hearing out of some hooptie speeding down I-10. Growing up here has definitely bred me into the artist that I am today and putting on for the Houston music scene is really important to me.
