Who are you?
Los Angeles-based isomania doesn't just play grunge, they reinvent it. Born in 2024 when three musicians stumbled onto a sound they'd never heard before, the band abandoned covers immediately, realizing the raw power of original material. What started as experimentation became an obsession.
The lineup solidified when frontman Spencer Leonard met drummer Jordan Dahl at an Anthracite Queen show, completing the four-piece: Spencer Leonard (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Tate McMillan (lead guitar/vocals), Nic Ayala (bass/vocals), and Jordan Dahl (drums).
Their debut EP Distasteful (April 2025) introduced the world to their signature sound, cinematic, dark, and unapologetically raw. The title track pulled 862 streams on release day, but the numbers only tell part of the story. isomania's real impact happens live.
Their first show at DTLA's Shit Show sold out. Not because of hype, but because people felt something. Throughout 2025, they played a minimum of two shows per month across LA County and the Coachella Valley, turning strangers into believers and believers into family. At an isomania show, perfection takes a backseat to energy, and energy is what they deliver in spades.
Their debut album DAWN (dropping late spring 2026) is a ten-track survival arc with an accompanying feature film. It's a concept album that starts drowning in guilt, powerlessness, broken systems, and climbs toward self-reckoning. No easy redemption. Just the brutal, beautiful choice to stand on the mountain and own what it cost to get there.
Lead single "Batman" (released February 19, 2026, Bruce Wayne's birthday) is a grunge anthem for anyone still showing up when the odds are stacked against them.
With confirmed dates at legendary venues including the Whisky A Go Go and the Escondite, isomania isn't chasing a moment. They're building a movement, one show, one believer, one raw, unforgettable night at a time.
isomania is cinematic grunge for people who refuse to stay down.
