Tell us something about you that fans should know:
I am a beautiful mess. My imperfections and growth are seen throughout my music, the differences in production between my two successive projects can easily be dissected when you listen. My music grows with me. I don't try to cover anything up. You cannot listen to my music without knowing my family and friends, they are spread throughout the catalogue. My aim is to leave something that I can be remembered by, first and foremost by those closest to me.
Where are you from and what’s the music scene like there?
I'm from Malawi, raised mostly in the capital City, Lilongwe. I grew up in the ghetto of area 36, it is a geologically a small place, but it's big in terms of population spread. You have various classes of people, the rich, the poor and the middle class. It is a vibrant population though, one of the most known areas in Malawi, due to the constant high rate of crime, vast amount of talent and being a monopoly for one of the street gang "11 Bongos", which dissolved when police caught most of the members.
